Our History

Cheetah is a family-run business with more than 40 years’ experience in logistics.  We started out with a one-van distribution service in 1975 and officially founded Cheetah in 1981.

Over the last 40 years our privately owned company has grown into a successful international logistics firm providing a range of services with everything you need under one roof.

We don’t answer to shareholders, so keep our customers’ best interests at heart. We’re proud of the friendly culture we have developed. You’ll never be asked for your account number but for your name.  We’ll make sure you speak to the same person whenever you call, whether you’re a sole trader or a PLC.

We employ a team of nearly 60 people and have established relationships with trusted sub-contractors across the UK and around the globe.  All of our customer advisors are knowledgeable and highly trained. Our qualified, professional team is available 24 / 7 / 365 days of the year so we’re small enough to care and big enough to rely on.

We may have grown in size and scale but our approach to business remains the same. We’re a family business, and provide honest, excellent customer service as well as fast, cost-effective logistics and advice.

Our fleet of 27 vehicles ranges from a basic Astra van to a specialist 44 tonne articulated lorry. Whether you’re sending a letter to Luton or shipping high-end goods overseas, we’ll do anything we can to help you, providing a fast, competitive, premium service to meet your logistical needs.

John Pritchard
John PritchardManaging Director, Founder

John is a founder of Cheetah and oversees the strategic direction and expansion of the business. He takes a personal interest in developing every member of the team and making sure our customer service levels are as good as the day we started.

Sue Pritchard
Sue PritchardCompany Secretary

Sue is the Company Secretary, Sue manages all of the company’s finances. Together with John since 1981

Dave Woodage
Dave WoodageOperations Director

Dave has been at Cheetah for almost 30 years and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. He manages the company’s team of drivers and sub-contractors and ensures the timely completion of customer jobs.

Lewis Pritchard
Lewis PritchardDirector

Lewis joined his parents and sister in the family business in 2004.

Since then he’s worked in all areas of the business and now manages some of our largest accounts. He is also responsible for business development, marketing and IT.

Abi Pritchard
Abi PritchardSales Manager

Abi joined her parents in 2002 and is responsible for sales, account management and general administration at Cheetah. She sets the friendly company tone and is a favourite with customers and the team.

Grahame Davis

Grahame has been part of the Cheetah family for more than 15 years and manages the Pallet Track division of the business.

Debbie Woodage
Debbie WoodageFinance

Debbie joined her husband Dave in the company during 2009 to manage our major client accounts and develop Cheetah’s international services.

Andy Cunningham
Andy CunninghamTransport & Warehouse Manager

Andy joined us in 2015 to support the core team and manage our increasing warehouse work. He also supports our pallet track contract when necessary.

Paul Marshall
Paul MarshallTransport Manager

Paul is nephew to John and Sue and has been with the company since the age of 16. He is one of the transport managers that looks after the operation of the day and night contracts.

Leicester Office

Richard Bannister
Richard BannisterManaging Director

Richard is the Managing Director of the Leicester depot. He is the Founder and Director of our Leicester depot and controls our operations in the North of England.

Lee Roberts
Lee RobertsTransport Manager

Lee runs the day to day operation of our Leicester depot controlling both night and day contacts, he started as a driver and has progressed through the company.

James Hollingworth
James HollingworthTraffic Coordinator

James is the right hand man to Lee helping with the operation of both days and night, new to the operation but hard working and keen to help the company grow.
